Beginning Meditation Class Series
June 14th, 2008 by namasteOur friend Joy Anton is excited to offer a beginning meditation series in the Dragonfly Studio. We are also offering a unique opportunity for you to help us set up a date and time that’s right for you. Your feedback is needed! We will offer Friday evening or Sunday evenings starting in July. Outline of class offering:
BASICS:
- Four week series one evening per week
- 1.5 hours instruction & readings
- Practice and breathwork
- Moving meditation
PURPOSE:
- Learn sitting techniques
- Experience calm
- Connect with mind, body & heart
Joy has studied vipassana and shamatha meditation, balancing the mind, as a gateway to finding genuine happiness and compassion. She has been teaching yoga for 7 years, and practicing yoga for 28 years. Joy blends the practices of Iyengar ,Yin, Sivananda, Viniyoga, Vinyasa yoga and meditation into her classes, workshops and private yoga sessions.
